Firstly, I am going to be starting with recommendations of books that everyone should read. These are books that are known across the road, and have become world wide successes in literature and film. These are (in order of my liking, this was hard):
1. The Shadowhunter Chronicles (both the Mortal Instruments and the Infernal Devices) by Cassandra Clare, who is my favourite author.
2. The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins.
3. Divergent, by Veronica Roth.
4. John Green's books.
5. Harry Potter, by J.K Rowling.
6. Percy Jackson & Heroes of Olympus, by Rick Riordan.
Everyone has to have heard of these six books/authors at some point, and if you don't then look them up and do read their books. They're all amazing authors and all write in a unique way.

8. Tiger Lily, by Jodi Lynn Anderson.
9. Anna and the French Kiss, by Stephanie Perkins.
10. Fangirl, by Rainbow Rowell.
