I really didn't want Kelsea to be an annoying main character who was selfish and really weak and hid behind her guards all the time. She wasn't. Kelsea is the man!
Kelsea was so strong and independent and I loved her as a character.
I also love Lazarus, who doesn't love Lazarus?
Kelsea, Lazarus, Pen and The Fetch are amazing characters.
In fact the whole Queens Guard are bloody brilliant, even Mhurn, who was the traitor. I loved moments between Kelsea and her Guard, they always had me laughing.
I never wanted this book to end, WHERE IS THE SEQUEL?!
It's kind of funny since before I properly got into it I was whining about the fact that it was never going to end since it took me over a week to read (I'm so impatient haha).
I recommend this book to everyone! I will warn you that it has 'naughty' words in it and so situations that could easily make you uncomfortable so just consider that before you read it.
Another thing that makes this book so cool? It has magic!
