After having to bury her aunt Harriet, Tessa Grey travels from New York to London. She doesn't expect to find the Dark Sisters waiting for her at the docks instead of her brother, Nate.
Tessa finds herself being held captive and being forced to use her powers she didn't know she had, after being tricked into going back to The Dark Sisters' house with them.
Whilst waiting for the arrival of the 'Magister' the Shadowhunters (Warriors dedicated to ridding the world of demons) bust into the home of The Dark Sisters and help free Tessa.
Tessa is taken back to the Institute of London where she meets the handsome parabatai's William Herondale and James Carstairs.
My Review:
I read this a while ago now but from what I remember, I loved every bit of it.
Will and Jem's relationship is the cutest thing, seriously.
If you haven't read this trilogy yet or any of Cassandra Clare's books, what have you been doing?
If you trust me, please trust me on this, YOU NEED TO READ IT! It may break your heart but it's worth it, kind of, not really.
No! Seriously, it is, you won't regret it.
Cassie's writing is incredible and the Shadowhunter world she has created is absolutely captivating.
