Eleanor & Park
Author(S):Rainbow Rowell
Rating:☆☆☆☆☆
Eleanor:
Throughout this whole book I just felt sorry for Eleanor.
Not just because she gets bullied (which is horrible) but because she is an older girl now and she still had to share a room with her younger siblings and she even had a rubbish life at home.
Richie is a complete a**hole.
He's just a whole new level of douche. He's gross.
I didn't like Eleanor's mum either, she was to scared to get her five kids out of this situation and sometimes she was just a bitch.
I will admit I did have moments where I liked her though.
Park:
I loved Park but sometimes he annoyed me, I'm not going to lie.
It even confused me why he liked Eleanor sometimes(not that she's not worth liking) but he didn't think she was nice, he liked her better with make up and all her hair done up instead of herself and when he saw her in her gymsuit he didn't like it.
Anyway other then that I loved him.
His mother was hilarious, always trying to give Eleanor make overs and acting all cool about them going out in her car.
All in all, I loved this book, it's a story that has humour, love and heartbreak all in one short book.

This book was adorable. I really couldn't put it down. Rainbow is such a good author with her storyline's, but it's the characters that made me love this book the most. Heroines are always known to be short and not believing their pretty. Rainbow's heroines have their flaws, and they're all different. Eleanor is relatable in so many ways and she is a heroine that you never see. Park isn't like the main guys in any books, he isn't perfect with the one flaw, he has loads of flaws and isn't like other guys. He's never fitted in, like Eleanor, and I found this completely relatable. It's hard to fit in and it's especially hard to fit in when your different. The story was just really lovely and adorable to read, specially with all the Eleanor and Park moments. You couldn't help but feel sorry for Eleanor giving where she lived and Richie - her stepfather. The end of the book was sad, I didn't cry, but it was still really sad. Giving these two characters we all knew there was no happy ending. I loved this book and I'm so glad I read it. One of the best contemporary's I've read this year.
