Review: 

After Obsidian we're left wondering what is going on between Katy and Daemon and what the hell happened to Katy on the field. Why are their hearts beating the same? Why have they suddenly got a connection? Well, Onyx, the plot twisting shocking second book of the Lux series answers all these questions in a way that I didn't see coming. New characters came in, Blake and Will, who I really struggled to trust and the twists in the end were somewhat predictable, but still shockingly good. Blake is the surfer kind of guy, who like Katy likes to blog, and seems normal until the Arum turn up. Will is Katy's mom's new boyfriend and seems like a friendly nice man, but can Katy trust him? Then we have the DOD turning up, making a threatening prescience over Katy and the Luxen.  While that's all happening, we have the problem between Katy and Daemon, as Daemon tries to prove his feelings are more then just their connection. It was obvious, even before the connection, that Daemon had feelings for Katy, making it frustrating to read. Daemon's character changed a lot in this book, he opened up himself more to Katy showing the real side more then the jerk. He would seriously burn down the world for Katy. We also had a huge development in Katy's character as she started to come out from hiding behind Daemon. I was so glad she didn't turn out to be a girl that relied on the guy to save her, no, in this case she started fighting back. The ending had me in tears, a mix of happiness and sadness, leaving it on a happy cliffhanger. Onyx has a lot more action, we go deeper into the storyline and we start to see where this series is going. All that and not forgetting that Daemon just keeps getting hotter and hotter, specially when he calls readers and bloggers sexy and hot.
