While everything is happy happy between Katy and Daemon, Dawson is back and he wants to save Beth. The only way to do this is by trusting Blake, which seems highly impossible. Opal was full with many shocks and twists. It had more of a serious tone to it, but also the fun sarcastic side is still there, making it extremely enjoyable to read.
The end was a bomb. One massive emotional bomb that left me shaking and crying for ages. Jennifer really knows how to do a plot twist and leave a book on an evil cliffhanger. After Opal, you're going to want to start Origin straight away.
